Fatwood is a natural by-product of heart of pine, that contains high amounts of resin which, when lit, features fast combustibility and a long lasting burn with minimal mess. A few sticks will easily create a roaring blaze

With Longleaf Lighter Company, a division of Brewton Enterprises, Inc., it all began in a garage in 1976. The manufacturing, packaging, selling, and distribution of our product (sometimes out of the trunk of a car), was a long, slow, tedious process, but we prevailed, and since that time our Fatwood Firestarter has been sold all across the country in:

  • various retail chain stores such as Target, Wal-Mart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.
  • large wholesale companies such as Jarden Home Brands-Firelog Division, Conros  Corporation, American Firelog Corporation, WorldWise, Inc., Ry-Co Wholesale, Capital &  Commercial Ventures, MEECO Mfg Company, etc.
  • prominent catalog companies including L.L. Bean, Plow & Hearth, Orvis, etc.
  • Hearth Shops thru out the USA – too numerous to mention!

Most of our Fatwood Firestarter sold to these businesses carried their own private label. We can package our Fatwood per your specifications. *Our Fatwood can be shipped by the pallet, truckload, or direct shipped via UPS Ground... you can even drop by and pick some up yourself. We would love to see you and show you around our facilities.

Our Fatwood customers are usually seasonal and we understand how busy it can get once the temperature begins to drop – so plan ahead – order now – we will pack your order and warehouse it for you until you need us to ship to your specified destination, on your specified ship date.
